It is not surprising that there is quite a demand for postal shared mailings to schools at the moment because of the way schools are using up their year’s funding – especially when we offer a free email campaign at the same time using our personal email addresses of teachers.
The last postal shared campaign sold out, and so we added an extra one on 29th February.
Basically your item goes into a pack with material from other teachers. We put in a cover page with a newsletter to the administrator (which is what encourages the administrator to open the pack) and ask the administrator to pass on the leaflets to the relevant teachers.
The price is about 7p per school, if you put in a single leaflet weighing up to 15g. If you put two leaflets in to two different teachers, the cost per teacher comes down to about 5p each.
Then, additionally you can do an emailing to one of our personal email lists of teachers as shown on http://www.emails.gs/Secondarynamedlist.html (You could if you wish email a different group of teachers from those you sent the leaflet to, but the best results come from emailing the same list and saying, “you should have received our leaflet in the post – if you didn’t do reply to this email and we’ll send you another one”. That way you collect email and postal addresses of teachers who are really interested).
